Here Comes The Bride

This post is not about anything sports or betting related, but I thought I would mention that my girlfriend put on a stone at the weekend. OK, I'm slightly misleading you here. The truth is that I became engaged to the beautiful girl in my profile picture at the weekend. I did the 'down on one knee' thing, which was a mistake because at my age, I couldn't regain my standing position with any ease, and at my weight it took three waiters, two cooks, and the maitre d' to restore me to an upright position. All very embarrassing. The wedding will in all likelihood take place on a beach somewhere in Costa Rica during the dry season there next April, and I will be spending the next nine months trying to lose some weight so that I look good in my wedding Speedos.
