"Tamworth v Southport - Clash Of The Titans" might seem a little too much hyperbole for a Skrill Premier game, but the title doesn't refer to the match itself. The titans are Skeeve and The Football Analyst (Graeme Dand) who wasted no time at all in going to war with Tamworth and Southport as their proxies. Not quite a proxy war on the scale of the Korean conflict, but with Graeme on Tamworth and Skeeve on Southport, it made for an interesting Saturday afternoon.
Tamworth won handily 4-1 with the benefit of a penalty and an own goal and The Football Analyst took the points. No official prices updated yet, but Skeeve will lose about a point overall, while Graeme will make a small profit because his second selection (Woking) lost 1-3 at Alfreton Town.
Skeeve's other selections were Chesterfield in League Two who beat Accrington Stanley 1-0, and in the Conference Premier Barnet (lost at Halifax Town), Lincoln City (lost at home to Salisbury City) and Gateshead (beat Hereford United).
A good weekend so far for the Scatter Gun, who as things stand leads the table after 4 winners from 8, but two matches remain. Scatter Gun is looking for 1-1, 2-1 or 1-2 in these games:
I lost some money on betting yesterday, no big deal, but for anyone who thinks a loss is something of a disaster, check out Paddy's post today at Betfair trading to Gamblers Anonymous - it's actually one of the most disturbing posts I can remember reading and can only hope that Paddy is getting the help he clearly needs.
